Let’s be honest are you wishing or working?

Wishing for something and working for something is not the same thing

Honesty is a rare commodity, especially when dealing with ourselves. An example, I want to lose ten pounds, ok am I looking for a magic pill or potion, or do I realize I’m going to have to change my lifestyle.

You don’t lose weight by simply taking a pill, you have to cut back on what you eat, and how much you eat. And you’re going to have to incorporate some form of exercise because doing those things is the only way to keep those ten pounds off for good

Anything worth having is worth working for

It takes courage to make any kind of change, we have to be willing to step outside our comfort zone and be willing to do something new.

Courage, being scared to death but saddling up anyway”John Wayne”

We also have to be careful with the words we use with ourselves. If I say, I’m going to try to lose ten pounds I’ve just given myself a way out, a reason to fail.

As soon as I have a craving for something I shouldn’t have right now, it’s ok because “ I tried”, however, if I say I’m going to lose ten pounds I’ve made a definite statement.

We actually listen to what we tell ourselves. Don’t try, Do!

Nothing changes if nothing changes

What are you willing to change in order to get what you want? It doesn’t matter what others think of these changes, it’s your journey, not theirs.

If you want to make a change be honest with yourself about getting to work to make it happen.

Be determined to stay with it until you have the results you envisioned at the beginning.

So when is a good time to start making the changes you want? What are you doing right now? Now is an excellent time to get started, if not now when?
