Let not your heart be troubled

Let not your heart be troubled. Today is September 24th, 2021; it’s 4:30 A.m. I have been awake since 2:30 A.m. Nothing unusual for me, sleep and I have never been the best of friends. Lately, I’ve had a lot on my mind; it’s starting to affect me in negative ways; sleep deprivation is but one of the side effects of having too many thoughts running through your head at one time.

Taking a detour has been active for almost a year now; it’s been a lot of fun, but I don’t think fun is the center of anyone’s thoughts nowadays. It’s hard to write a travel blog with so much chaos going on in the world. I’m no longer blogging about traveling and health products exclusively. Timing is everything, and right now doesn’t seem to be the right time to blog about retirement and travel; there are more pressing issues to discuss.

The pen is mightier than the sword. Having a platform to speak from is a blessing and a curse at the same time. Knowing when to use either is critical. We are living in a time when both pen and sword are in danger of becoming extinct. Our God-given rights, Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are disappearing quickly. I refuse to be ashamed of being an American. Or of my belief in God almighty. Or for being white. If Black lives matter, they should stop killing one another and; stop blaming white people for black problems. Racism is a human problem, not confined to one race.

Liberalism has all but destroyed our nation. The question is, how much longer will “we the people” allow this to happen? I say no more! We better take stock in what’s going on around us and be willing to stand up for what we believe in while we still can or, the freedom to stand will be gone.

Moving forward

Moving forward is the only thing we can do. For us, moving forward means we hold fast to our belief in God, knowing he is in charge of the world and its inhabitance. We have to keep living life and loving one another because the only alternative is to panic and live in fear; we refuse to live that way. Jesus said in John 14:1, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in me. I’m guilty of worrying, my heart has been troubled, and I repent of these things. Worrying means we don’t think God will get it right.

Conclusion will continue; we believe in what we are doing and will continue to share our adventures as they come. Life covers a lot of ground, and sometimes that ground is very rough. But with God’s help, we will travel that road wherever it may lead. I hope you stay with us as we continue on our journey. God Bless.
